Time Trakker [Con't from page 5]

entry in the browse screen and by pressing ALT-B, gain access to the full details of that specific entry. Once into the entry, you can change or edit any of the information appearing in that screen.
If, however, you desire something a little more sophisticated, Rick Strahl, the author, offers a more feature- rich version of Time Trakker, called Time Trakker +PIus. It is described as being “a full featured, easy to use time and billing app that allows you to track time, expenses and sale items for billing and invoicing purposes. Based on the original Time Trakker this program adds billing info & full invoicing to provide a complete solution for a service based business.”

Either program is available for a 30-day trial from the MS Fox Users Forum. Registering the software is made even easier by typing “GO SWREGS” while in CompuServe. The registration fees (about $35) are simply added on to your CompuServe bill. You can’t beat the price. After all, how long would it take, in billable hours, to develop a program like this? And would it work the first time out of the gate? Registration also gets you full source code for integration into any client apps, if appropriate.

[Ed. Note: Rick Strahl may be contacted at CompuSeive, CID # 76427,2363.]
Overall, the program suits our internal purposes to a “tee”. It’s easy to use and, once you can get past the jokes about “Did you punch in this morning?” (After all, whoever heard of developers punching in?), it offers a very straight-forward method of keeping track of your hours.
