REDMOND, Wash., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/— Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) today announced Microsoft(R) Visual Studio(TM) 97, a comprehensive suite of Microsoft development tools for building client/server, multitier and Web-based solutions. The Visual Studio 97 development system will include the Visual Basic(R) programming system, Visuai C++(R) development system, Visual J++(TM) development tool, Visual FoxPro(TM) database and Visual lnterDev(TM) Web application development system. By using the integrated client/server and Internet technologies in Visual Studio, developers can build solutions that make optimal use of existing investments in hardware and software while taking advantage of the universal connectivity of the Web.
