The Universal Thread
Partnership Program Kicks Off
The Universal Thread Partnership Program is intended to
promote 3rd party products by offering Universal Thread mem-
bers a discount on a product and a bigger discount for members
having a Premier Universal Thread Membership.

From the Visual FoxPro forum, you can click on the light icon to
access the list of vendors. That list will list the basic information
about the product and discount. From that list, you can access
the full Classified Software & Products detail of that product.

A link has been added from the Universal Thread main page
“Universal Thread Partnership Program” which will give you all
the information about what’s involved for a company being part of
it. You will also find a general list of all active vendors.

You may find the Universal Thread at http:/I
www.universalthread.com.

Visual Foxpro Assistance
on the Web
By Tom Norman, Rocky Mountain Fox User Group
Have you ever been stuck with a problem while programming?
You try to find the answer in the Microsoft manuals but you
can’t. You look in all the reference books you have and you still
can’t find the answer. Next you go online via CompuServe and
you post your problem there hoping someone has encountered
and solved the problem you are now facing. Do you know you
can also get your solutions from the Web?

The web has a host of news groups and web sites to assist you
with your problems. Spending about thirty minutes of your day
reading others peoples’ problems and solutions might help you
to avoid some problems. This is a great way for you to learn
and avoid the problems others have solved.

You have two types of resources on the Web. One is the
newsgroup and the other is the web page. I have found both
areas full of information. Below is a partial list of the
newsgroups and websites that I try to read each week.
Newsgroups, which have an asterisk, have the most activity and
are frequented by Lisa Slater, Dan Freeman and other knowl-
edgeable Foxpro users.
