Since We Last Met
Word on the street is that Microsoft chief Steve Ballmer announced that
VB7 will have true inheritance and a bunch of cool things for the Internet.
Should we, as FoxPro developers, worry? Dunno, yet.. .but the discussion
is rampant on the Universal Thread,
http://www.universalthread.com.
Windows2000 was released to the general public this week amid not-quite-
so-much hoopla as 95 or 98. Bill Gates stated in an interview with Today
Show host Mall Lauer that as much as 40% of Microsoft’s profit this year
will be based on Windows2000 sales.
The state of California turned 150 this week. To commemorate the event,
several legislators went to the original state capital, some 20-30 miles north
