Out and About

mented using any database or OOP language. The application implemented uses a true 3-tier architecture that isolates the presentation from, business logic, from the data logic.
The Conceptual Design Methodology presented can create a conceptual model from an existing data model and produce a web application to manipulate that data model. Then the conceptual model can be modified and a new data model, object model and web application created from the new coneptual model. The principle goal of the methodology is to be able to revise the conceptual model as needed and then quickly produce a working application to support the new model.

Since We Last Met
Not to make anyone feel bad, but if you missed the NOLA conference, you missed one heck of a conference. Strongly supported by Microsoft, the attendees learned all sorts of new stuff, as well as received a very large sneak preview of VFP7 and VS7. You can still “research” the conference by pointing your browser to the Universal Thread at
http:// www.universalthread.com
and clicking on DevConnections NOLA Report (on the left-hand side of the screen). You can even view the WebCast of the keynote address by clicking on ‘WebCast of Keynote Address” once you get to the UT NOLA Report, or by going directly to
http://
msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/nextgen/technology/keynote.asp.
I was pleasantly surprised by the cross-pollination being taken advantage of by the attendees and vendors of the three conferences...VFP, SQL, and DevCon 200 Connections.
We’ll be discussing this event more at this month’s meeting.
