Frameworks
(Con’t from page 7)
development and maintenance efficiency are concerned, some would argue that it also prevents us from learning these complex issues that may be important for us to know at some poinCThere also is the issue of needing to wait for the application framework vendor to upgrade their product when a new FoxPro version arrives (or perhaps switching to a different vendor’s product because our chosen vendor fails to bring an upgrade to market). Lastly, you have to deal with merging your changes to the framework with the vendor’s next upgrade.
For many developers, I feel that the advantages of using application frameworks will outweigh the disadvantages.
