LA Fox’s Year in Review

1995

1995 turned out to be a banner year for LA Fox. We saw

the caliber of speakers rise significantly, to the point we

had a”mini-DevCon” going on; a newsletter article ex-

change was set up on a national basis (that eventually

will turn into an international exchange in 1996); the

membership of the group increased, to the point of

having standing room only at some of our meetings; we

settled into our new home at Torrance Airport; and had a

change in officers at the end of the year. And our Annual

Christmas Party surpassed all the others. None of this

could have been done without the Board and the entire

membership pulling together in a unified effort.

Everyone deserves a round of applause. Special recog-

nition should be given to John Hart (for supplying us with

an excellent projection system), George Porter (for

finding our new location), and all the people (you know

who you are) that contributed their expertise, either in

leading presentations and discussions at our meetings,

contributing articles to the newsletter, or helping to

organize and move things along. Thank you one and all.

The only sad note was the departure of Ken Levy for

Microsoft, but i’m sure he’ll be back to visit.
