The fifth annual FoxTeach Visual FoxPro developer’s conference takes place in Toronto, Canada on May 1, 2, 3, 1997 at the Toronto Prince Hotel. FoxTeach has been called “a topflight developer’s conference” by Info Canada and is recognized as one of the world’s best sources for the latest programming techniques on Visual FoxPro.
The conference begins with an optional pre-conference seminar on Application Frameworks. This half day seminar shows you what it takes build a solid foundation to create better applications in less time. The main conference begins with an opening session on the direction of VFP and application development with Microsoft tools. The remainder of the conference wilt be devoted to specialized sessions where topics will be discussed in depth. Each presentation is 75 minutes in length with four presentations presented concurrently. Most sessions will be repeated so the sessions most valuable to you won’t be missed. Attendees receive materials from all sessions even though it’s impossible to attend all of them.
FoxTeach is proud to present many of the finest Visual FoxPro developers, authors, and consultants from around the world to share their knowledge with you. This year is no exception with participation from the United States, Canada, Germany and for the first time, England. Borland to Merge With Oracle? Thats right. ..your eyes are not playing tricks on you.. .well, not exactly. But

Borland International Inc. and Oracle Corp. announced on Tuesday,

04/97, that Oracle will license Borland’s Java and C++ development technologies for use with Oracle database systems and application development tools. Under the terms of the license agreement, Oracle will integrate and distribute Borland’s C++
Builder
and JBuilder software tools with a number of Oracle’s
existing
and future products. The license between the two
companies is a worldwide, non-exclusive agreement. Oracle will
incorporate Borland’s Java technology into many of its tools, including Developer/2000, Designer/2000 and Sedona. The agreement between Borland and Oracle is a a key step in Borland’s Golden Gate strategy to extend its reach into corporate IT by combining the best of client/server technology with the emerging Internet technologies,” said Del Yocam, Borland’s Chairman of the Board and CEO. “By enabling Oracle to integrate Borland’s C++ and Java technologies into their products, we ensure the widest adoption of Borland technology and
interoperability with the leading provide of database manage
